Southern Sun

Just a little of that Southern Energy!

The evening started out great… met Josh at one of my favorite nearby (30 minute drive) watering holes… The Southern Sun (a.k.a Moutain Sun).

Definitely one of the best micro breweries in town, and certainly the largest selection of fresh hand-crafted beers.

Home of one of my favs, and one of the strongest ales you can get in a pitcher… the XXX. With a 7.6% alcohol content, we can split one $6 pitcher have be good for the remainder of the evening.

But it was happy hour and drinks were cheap, so we didn’t stop there…we followed that with a pitcher of Thunderbolt Stout to help with the blazing hot wings we ordered.

After our meal, I headed home and caught the 2nd half of the Hoosiers game while chatting with some of the fam on our new Family Website. IU almost blew it. When Eric Gordon doesn’t play well… the rest of the team suffers. Fortunately they pulled it out and kept their winning streak alive. Currently ranked 10th in the nation, the Hoosiers have their best start since 1996. It’s a good time to be a Hoosier fan!

After the game I made myself comfortable on the couch with the dogs and fell asleep. Some time around 1 a.m. I woke up to an awful smell coming from the kitchen. Apparently, during my nappy-nap, Nanook decided he needed out, but wasn’t able to wake me. So he left me a nice surprise.

Rarely does he have “accidents” in the house these days, but when he does, they are never good ones.
This mound of brown took 6 - two handed attempts to clean it all up. It had to have weighed in at over 7 lbs. The picture doesn’t really do it justice, but to give you an idea… the tiles on the floor are 12 inches by 12 inches.
Thanks buddy…. you know how ruin a good nap :(
