I’ve never been much of a NIN fan, but I have to admit I have enjoyed several of the “hits” over the years.
This album, well… simply… it doesn’t suck! It’s good background music, however I’ve only got my hands on the free tunes. I guess I need to make sure I like those before I commit to the rest of the album. Most of the songs are less than 3 minutes in length, which is good, but you’ll make it through the CD before you’ve finished your Mountain Dew and Skittles snack break.
I don’t do too many music reviews, but I’ll go ahead and give this album (what I’ve heard) a C+. It would have deserved a solid B, if it hadn’t taken 10 weeks to create. Without citing any specific examples, I’m pretty sure I’ve stumbled upon other artists who’ve thrown together something similar, and in far less time. Still, it’s NIN, and I guess it’s brilliant just because Trent wrote the songs
If nothing else, it makes for good baby making music, or LSD trips. Can you even still get LSD?
